Here I was, in a major town, and there wasn't any way for me to hear classic music on the radio in the automobile. Most towns had 2 classical stations at least, and at one time Detroit had too. Don't misunderstand me public radio still played plenty of classical composers, but only during certain programs. A lot of the time, I would need to bring my private CDs with me if I needed to hear classical compositions. That is why it got so ecstatic when I discovered classical music online. I have not actually studied classical music history a lot and I do not know the music that well.
